The next step in wide-spread clean water access for remote villages are filtration plants. These include a 750 square foot building plus filtration equipment and provides safe and sustainable water for neighboring villages with up to 15,000 people. The cost including real estate and the filtration system costs $25,000, which is roughly $1.70 per person served. Our staff trains community leaders how to maintain these facilities in order to ensure sustainability.
